3/9/10 Class 10 Reaction

For the database interrogation, could you please explain again SQL Queries and this one phrase:
query form is SELECT......FROM......WHERE....

I got the first two parts, but not the where part. I definitely feel like this next test is going to be super hard because there is so much information in just these three chapters to know.

I'm also struggling to find things to say in these blogs....any suggestions?

SQL is a (4GL) programming language that allows you to interrogate relational DBMS. The general form of a SQL query is SELECT (fields to report upon) FROM (what tables have these fields) WHERE (what conditions do you want the field(s) to meet...e.g., salary must be > $100,000 per year, department = Accounting, location = East Coast OR Midwest, etc.).

The blogs are good places to ask me questions you wished you had asked in class. The blogs are also good places to say things like, I can see how this information will be helpful to me as a manager, why am I learning this crap?, I have experience with this subject from my ACTG 210 course, etc.

If a tech news report catches your fancy, if you like one of my feeble attempts to be funny, if you wonder why I don't dress better, etc., blog it!
